Exactly, this will be the final straw for any runners, no going home an hour early anymore.
Just come in, work your hours and go home. The days of a clear frame are gone.

Re: RMCtv : Photo Capture on Delivery
If a postie can access it then unless it's a self locking parcel box how can any "safe place" really be secure? Plus if the customer nominates a safe place they then take the risk if the parcel is stolen?A2B wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 17:31Yes you leave the parcel only if there's a secure place to do so regardless of what the customer instructions are.2yearpostie wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 16:35Even thought the PDA promts you too and RM have a record of the request?

You are responsible for the safe delivery of the parcel, yes there will be mitigating circumstances if you leave it at the requested safeplace but if it is clearly an unsecure safeplace you are putting yourself forward for a P45TopperGas wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 19:04If a postie can access it then unless it's a self locking parcel box how can any "safe place" really be secure? Re: RMCtv : Photo Capture on Delivery
A "clearly unsecure safeplace" is somewhat different to a secure place, as the latter simply doesn't exist if it's not behind a locked door.A2B wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 19:58You are responsible for the safe delivery of the parcel, yes there will be mitigating circumstances if you leave it at the requested safeplace but if it is clearly an unsecure safeplace you are putting yourself forward for a P45TopperGas wrote: ↑10 Feb 2022, 19:04If a postie can access it then unless it's a self locking parcel box how can any "safe place" really be secure? Re: RMCtv : Photo Capture on Delivery
What do you do if you're unable to leave the item in my designated Safeplace?
If we can't leave your item in your Safeplace, for example if it would be dangerous for us to access the nominated point; if the item would be exposed to bad weather; or if the nominated point is clearly insecure (for example, a doorstep or a recycling bin), we'll leave your item with a nearby neighbour or if that isn't possible, we'll return the item to the delivery office.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: RMCtv : Photo Capture on Delivery
I hope this clarifies when a safe place is not a safe place:
Why we can't leave your item in your Safeplace, for example if it would be dangerous for us to access the nominated point; if the item would be exposed to bad weather; or if the nominated point is clearly insecure (for example, a doorstep or a recycling bin), we'll leave your item with a nearby neighbour or if that isn't possible, we'll return the item to the delivery office.
We'll leave you a card confirming where your item is, we may also send you an email and/or SMS notification.
You can then either collect your item from your neighbour, or if we've returned the item to our delivery office, arrange for a redelivery or pick the item up in person; full details will be on the card we left.
I hope this clarifies, if you require any further information then please email me. Thanks
Regards
Samantha CSM

The plot thickens with safe places, more news tomorrow, I have to go out now as my cats have just been blown over into the next postcode and it's right rank there.

Re: RMCtv : Photo Capture on Delivery
Simon's suggested in the comments section on this week's Workspace Q&A they are looking into the issues being raised, given. Assuming this was signed off by the CWA then it's baffling why they didn't previously raise their concerns/advise Simon it's unworkable.

the new planning values for Photo on Delivery, presumably they are being incorporated into the next wave of revisions?
Head of Delivery Systems
yes we are looking at this at the moment and the aim is to build the activity time and frequencies into GeoRoute going forwards

Re: RMCtv : Photo Capture on Delivery
Deployment Lead
Capture Photo on Delivery (CPOD)– Account Tracked 24/48 non signature
The rollout of the software changes that will make the “P” more visible on the PDA is progressing well, I can confirm that this is going to be completed by the 4thMarch.
We will have a go/no go meeting, and assuming this is a go decision it means commercial should be ready to switch over the Account Tracked 24 and 48 non signature mail to receive a photo on the 8th March. Please can you share this to your groups
