You are responsible for the safe delivery of the parcel, yes there will be mitigating circumstances if you leave it at the requested safeplace but if it is clearly an unsecure safeplace you are putting yourself forward for a P45

A "clearly unsecure safeplace" is somewhat different to a secure place, as the latter simply doesn't exist if it's not behind a locked door.

I hope this clarifies when a safe place is not a safe place:

We'll leave you a card confirming where your item is, we may also send you an email and/or SMS notification.

You can then either collect your item from your neighbour, or if we've returned the item to our delivery office, arrange for a redelivery or pick the item up in person; full details will be on the card we left.

Why do we constantly get told by higher management thats how Amazon ,Hermes etc having been doing it this way.SO WOT DO THEY DO WITH THERE LETTERS. Oh yer they dont deliver them... If I hear the letters are down .D2D increasing,smaller packages (The one most parcel delivery wont deliver) increasing, prime parcels etc.Feels like there trying to run company into ground.

The rollout of the software changes that will make the “P” more visible on the PDA is progressing well, I can confirm that this is going to be completed by the 4thMarch.

We will have a go/no go meeting, and assuming this is a go decision it means commercial should be ready to switch over the Account Tracked 24 and 48 non signature mail to receive a photo on the 8th March. Please can you share this to your groups
