Hi All,
I bought a pair of shoes from an individual in London, he posted it out on 24th Nov, the parcel shows "item leaving the UK" status from 25th Nov. I made few calls to Royalmail at AM given the time zone difference but did not get any information other than the seller can lodge lost item as 1 Jan 2022. I am wondering I might not be able to wait that long since I will need to contact Paypal to get my money back.
Anyone could help to let me know if the parcel is lost or still within the delivery timeframe?
Tracking number: LG673031257GB
Much appreciate
Thanks

Crucial bit of information missing there: what is the destination country? Are the shoes made of leather, and are they new or used?

Those have leather ‘details’. As I understand the Australian customs rules, that means prior permission is required to import them. But I suggest you first check the exact makeup of the shoe then speak to Australian customs yourself, if possible.

The problem is that the parcel is not in Australia per Aupost's confirmation. I think the parcel needs to be in Oz first then we can talk about customs rules etc. Nobody knows where the parcel is

Yes, Australian customs are not legally in Australia, but they are physically in Australia.

But if it breaks Australian Customs rules they may not allow it into Aus Posts hands. It's a catch 22 but Snaggletooth has given the best advice. Which from tracking it appears you have done so.

Re: Parcel stuck at Langley HWDC
Thanks.
It is a very common pair of Gucci shoes, this is my 4th or 5th time purchased it overseas, most of them are oversea retailers, this is the first time having issues. I am sure people from Oz buy it quite often as well. So I wouldn't direct the issue to the complex way but thanks for sharing your thoughts anyway.
