It could be delayed in Customs as though there will be no Tax to pay there are other checks that customs sometimes do.
However, I would also contact Customer Services as they have access to a better tracking system and may be able to say where it is more definitely.

Not going to make a new topic. Same old same old.
I know it was Christmas / New Year period and it takes time for sorting parcels, customs to clear etc etc
However. I'm not sure where exactly my parcel is. The tracker says:
On Dec 12th they prepared the parcel. On Dec 14th they handed it to airline. On Dec 23rd in arrived at Langley. On Jan 16th it 'entered UK'?
I'm not sure. So was it cleared by customs 23/12 - 16/01 or it is being cleared by customs now from 16/01 which means another 2-3 weeks?
Thanks for help.
edit: destination country is UK, so Langley shouldn't be 'transit airport'.

That doesn’t look like normal postal service tracking, probably a private courier involved at one or both ends.
Despite that, I would say that it probably cleared customs on the 16th. Delays don’t seem to have been too bad this Christmas in general, so I would say that you have some combination of tax to pay, goods which were borderline for entry and sheer bad luck.

It has been sent by Singapore Post registered and insured.Snaggletooth wrote:That doesn’t look like normal postal service tracking, probably a private courier involved at one or both ends.

Yes, there's definitely tax to pay.
Bad luck is my middle name, so not surprised.
Okay, thanks. So in other words now I'm waiting for the fee to pay card right? If it cleared customs on Tue the 16th then the card should be here by Mon the 22nd latest I guess.
edit: however it is not on RM track and trace system, is this normal? Does it appear there after paying the fee?
Thanks

Tax is almost inevitable rather than bad luck.
It should show up on RM’s track and trace once it has cleared customs, if it is coming by RM. Being sent through RM at this end is no guarantee that it will us the state mail service at the other end.

Same problem so didn’t see the point in creating a new thread.
Item has been stuck at Heathrow since December 18th with no movement. Item was bought from an American company (literally a book or two, some stationery, doesn’t sound like much but it’s a special book) by USPS. It’s been nearly two months now, I know Christmas would have slowed things down but I’ve given up hope. Is there any chance it could arrive after all this time and is there anything that I can actually do? From what I’ve seen the answer is no but I’m pretty bummed out about this

I'm in the exact same boat. Arrived in the UK on the 27th Jan and my parcel has vanished since then with zero information on the current status. These customs checks need to have proper rules, there are certain time requirements for their processing stated on the web page that describes the various information needed as a commercial importer (They have to process each "type" of check within a certain amount of days, I think for the normal checks it was 3-5 working days).Ras185 wrote:Same problem so didn’t see the point in creating a new thread.

Either way, I have sent an email to the processing office's complaints department (Probably an email created + never used haha)
Will update as I go!

There's a chance but its diminishing one. I would contact the sender and ask for a refund/replacement, they should then claim/contact USPS.Ras185 wrote:Same problem so didn’t see the point in creating a new thread.
