Parcel delivered to wrong address

Post by Kouri »

Hello there, today after checking the tracking of a parcel that I've been waiting for, it says that it was delivered today, 05/03/2016 at 8:49.

When checking the number on https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-item" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, it shows the correct printed name but it has been signed by someone with a signature that I do not recognise.

This has never happened to me and I'm wondering how I should proceed with this. I have looked on the Royal Mail contact page and the earliest I can ring up will be tomorrow from 9AM to 2PM, is there anything I should specifically mention?

Thank you for any help in advance.

If you are buying something from an EU based website or eBay seller etc then you should complain to the people you bought the thing from. Otherwise, yes, you could complain to RM, but it's much easier if the sender does it.

If you do end up making the complaint, you need to stress that you live at the address on the item but that you haven't received the item (remember: Royal Mail deliver to an address, not a person).
