Package from the UK to the UAE, what just happened here?

Hello,

I'm from UAE and I had a package sent to me from the UK.

General Information:
Item: RU619678458GB
via International Signed
Posted on: 26/01/15

What I found weird is not the fact that it's taking really really long, but more the fact that it reached my country and then was dispatched to HEATHROW WORLDWIDE DC?? unless i'm missing something here...

Best guess is that for some reason UAE customs refused it entry into the UAE

It looks like it was delivered back to the sender today - I'd contact them to confirm the address was correct. Or if it was a no-import item.

How come? I mean there is no reason for them to do so. This item was already imported to the country's many game stores without any problems :/

Did the sender put a PO Box number on it? Or did you supply one?

Emirates Post don't do door to door deliveries, they only deliver to a PO Box - if you don't include one, then tough, and they send it straight back.
