A round of applause for Royal Mail

Post by rablenkov »

Several weeks ago I bought an item from eBay. The seller advertised that it would be sent by 'Royal Mail, First Class Recorded delivery'. Cost - £7

I paid up then sat and waited.

After a week, still no item. It was a birthday present for someone, but it still hadn't arrived by the time their birthday came.

Speaking to the seller, I discovered that he hadn't sent it by Royal Mail at all, but by some crappy courier company - I won't mention their name.

After numerous phone calls, never being phoned back, being repeatedly lied to, taking a day off work for the damn thing to arrive, and two weeks of waiting, they eventually admitted they'd lost it.

Told the seller, he resent another one, but this time by Royal Mail.

It arrived within two days.

You guys do a great job, despite what you have to put up with and, in my experience, are much more reliable than any of the courier companies I've dealt with in the past.

A big thumbs up to you.

Thank you very much, its not very often we get to hear customers that are happy with the service. :Applause :Applause :Applause
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Credit where it's due.

For the one letter or parcel that goes missing, people tend to forget the hundreds more that they've received on time and in pristine condition.

Keep up the good work, people. It's appreciated by the silent majority.

This is the sort of thing we should be reading in the press.

We all know the competition is inferior yet all we hear is RM and Postcomm pointing people in their direction by loss making agreements on the one hand and unfair trading constraints imposed by the other.

Personally, what we should be reading in the press is the link to this website.

Honestly, a newspaper(s) should really be made aware of this, and then, subsequently, pick out the info they need..

It's not Rocket Science to fathom out RM head-honchos are taking the company down.

If more people such as rablenkov above realise what's actually going on - the better.

I'm happy to confirm that I'm nothing more than a satisfied customer who supports you all in your industrial action.

Oh, and you're right, Rablenkov isn't my real name...
