Hi
I have sent a package to an address but made a mistake in the postcode.
I have sent it to 106 St Pauls Close, London W5 3LY instead of W5 3JY
Will the package still be delivered? or is there anyway of locating it? I did not put a sender address on it.
Thank you

Re: Postcode mistake
The most crucial part is the W5, the packet will end up at the correct DO, after that I doubt anyone will look at the second part of the postcode and it should be sorted to the correct walk by address alone. I can't imagine 3xx being far from 3yy as to be delivered from two seperate Do's but stranger things have been known.

Yep they are only 2 streets apart from each other and 1/3 mile - they may be on the same duty (route) or if not then both duty holders should now where each address is.

Yes, our colleagues in Ealing know what they're doing.TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Yep they are only 2 streets apart from each other and 1/3 mile - they may be on the same duty (route) or if not then both duty holders should now where each address is.

Re: Postcode mistake
Thank you so much for your replies. Unfortunately the package has not yet been received. Is there some way I can find where it has gone? Is there maybe a lost post department? As mentioned it was just sent first class not tracked.
Thank you

Re: Postcode mistake
If you've not sent it tracked, then nope. However, if it's not arrived within 15 working days, RM will consider it a lost item and you'll need to fill in a P58 form from the Post Office. If you put a description of the packet and the contents on there, it'll be logged onto the system and checked with the lost letter section (RLB) to see if it matches anything they've received. When I've had things go undelivered for whatever reason, they've usually reappeared with me within about 6 weeks. RLB have a helluva lot of mail to work their way through so it can take a few weeks.frgrads1 wrote:Thank you so much for your replies. Unfortunately the package has not yet been received. I assume you put a return address on the back and the receipient has checked with their local delivery office that it's not there waiting for them to collect?
Does this rag smell of chloroform to you?
