Can any of you posties tell me if you are allowed to leave items in them, especially specials/recordeds? Emailed the ibin customer service who said:
, but not really convinced, considering what the guys on here say about 739ing the lot. With regards to the POD from Royal mail this shouldn’t be a problem. We have iBin’s all over the country and have only ever had one person come back that’s had trouble with his Royal mail postman. This was easily solved by him sending a letter of authority to his local post office department authorising them to use the iBin for accepting his parcels and that his unique number could be taken as proof of delivery.
I would maybe suggest that if you have a regular postman that you could speak to him and ask if he would have a problem accepting the unique number as a POD. If so then a simple letter should solve this.
