I wondered what he was referring to as well. Does he mean the legitimate concerns of customers as to why their mail is late being brought up on segments of (for example) BBC Breakfast and other media streams and anonymous or ex-posties telling it how it is?

Well - if we didn't get an inflation-matching pay rise (and lets be clear, it isn't, we all know the daily reality as opposed to the statistics) then even more staff would leave meaning more missed performance targets meaning more fines.

He says posties deserve a genuine thank you, but 6 months ago he was okay issuing 2nd class stamps to staff instead of the 1st class we've always received. Explain that one Daniel.
It all comes down to saving money at this point. That's why they are so thrilled with DM26, they will end up losing staff long term with 3 into 4 working.
