Re: Angard new terms, pay taken down?
Just to update you, nothing happened with my complaint. Waiting for case worker assignment. So they definitely take their time and probably try to wear out any unhappy workers. I did receive adjustment payment for work between April and end of September, which in my opinion proves that I was on correct rate.
Christmas rates kicked in from 27th of October, so I only did one cheap shift in September to prove rate cut. But these peak rates are lower than my previous rate and break is unpaid. Also, staying longer, after end of original night shift, attracts morning rate. My original rate was unchanged when staying longer and that was the only reason to do so. Sometimes I clocked 12h on night rate, staying up to midday.
A lot of people, including some managers, thought that I quit and were surprised to see me back. I'm certainly not going to break my back or go extra mile and will do fewer shifts, not going back to practically living at Mail Centre.

Same situation and approach. Better off doing other jobs.

New paycard highest rate is 12 weeks not 52 or anything higherMailSorter10 wrote: ↑01 Jul 2025, 17:47I personally never received so called pay card, but saw older one for my MC and there was increase after 26 weeks. And I certainly got the increase.gurpbarnes6 wrote: ↑28 Jun 2025, 01:53Pay increases after 26 weeks are you sure since when? Pay card I have states after 12 weeks and 52 weeks worth of work not 26 weeks. After 260 weeks same pay now before used to slight difference if I am not mistaken.

Re: Angard new terms, pay taken down?
My case is still unresolved and ongoing. After Christmas rate ended, I didn't do any shifts, just using my holiday. Yesterday I cancelled Sunday shift, because I couldn't bear the thought that people around me will earn £25.10 per hour with break included and I will earn £15.74 without paid break. I calculated, that I would earn 57% of what people on so called "historic" rates will get for the same work.
I found a few interesting things on the net:
https://www.change.org/p/stop-pay-cuts- ... il-sorters
https://www.reddit.com/r/HumanResources ... oyal_mail/
It would be useful if everyone affected got together and use union to fight, instead of leaving or accepting lower rate. I wonder how many people actually raised official complaint?
BTW, CWU which has presence on site, did not help at all. They took ages to respond to my communication and then 2 months later sent me letter which wasn't exactly to the point and said that they can't help me. I asked to cancel my membership immediately, but haven't heard anything back. I'm using GMB assistance.

Re: Angard new terms, pay taken down?
Can I just chime in on this, I started with Angard in November 2025 as a mail sorter for PRDC down in London, and guess what I am working on the track machines next to dudes on the old contract of £17.35 per hour with paid 1 hour break, whilst I am on £15.50 per hour with 1 hour unpaid break.
This colleague of mine was literally so slow at scanning today that one of the managers replaced him with another guy, and yeah he took home £138.80 whilst I took home £108.50 today (he made £30 more than me today and was slower than a turtle when it came to scanning)
Yeah all very fair, is there any point in me contacting ACAS or should I just quietly look for another job, £108 per day is not much when you live down in London thanks.
P.S. I actually worked in Greenford for 2 months November 2024-January 2025 through Angard but had a big 9 month gap between then and starting PRDC in November 2025.
