You did to be fair
I remember being surprised
And you kept ranting for those voting NO to tell us what they would do instead
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

I doubt they can legally just change your working hours or enforce the seasonal variation and also remove your entitlement to sick pay. If they can it's pointless ever been given a contract of employment.

They absolutely cannot force you to work more than your contracted hours unpaid this winter on the promise of getting the time back next summer without an agreement
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next

None of these things are in my contract. Changes to start times and sick pay etc have always been part of deals and agreements drawn up by the union and employer. Agreements that were torn up by strike action.TopperGas wrote: ↑07 May 2023, 17:54I doubt they can legally just change your working hours or enforce the seasonal variation and also remove your entitlement to sick pay. They only change it by a reasonable amount, pretty certain an employer could suddenly tell their staff they are working nights. If they don't need our agreement why include in the pay rise talks rather than just tell us they are changing our start times. I'm contracted to work a set number of hours a week I'm pretty certain they can't legally tell me to work 2 hours longer in the winter w/o my prior agreement.

Well your wrong on both aspects your employer can do what the bloody well like and a variation of hour was in the 2009 agreement is so. Are they suggesting nights bwtTopperGas wrote: ↑07 May 2023, 20:23They only change it by a reasonable amount, pretty certain an employer could suddenly tell their staff they are working nights. If it's genuine this should come as an official announcement from RM or CWU (or jointly)!:

I didn’t see a question in there, however, my original contract lists how many hours I would be required to work a week, which has likewise been changed since I started, via agreements. We currently work 37 right? So that is a change from my original contract, so I’m not sure how relevant they are. People seem to think their original contracts are some kind of weighty tome, but they are very basic and certainly subject to change. That is why over the years, start times and finish times have changed massively.Acca Dacca wrote: ↑07 May 2023, 19:32And whats your answer to my reply?LouBarlow wrote: ↑07 May 2023, 19:05None of these things are in my contract.
