Special Delivery 1pm Query

I have another parcel stuck In transit since yesterday. Left Romford for Glasgow at 8pm last night and should now be ready for delivery. Tracking code: NY238835994GB.

Since the start of this month 12/15 of my parcels sent using the special delivery service have been late. That’s a hit rate of 20% on time which is shambolic. I’ve been on here moaning and asking for answers before and I know it’s no one’s fault on here but it really is affecting me now. I just don’t understand how royal mails service can be so bad now it’s really unsustainable.

That's very disappointing I've not used special delivery since about November last year but I've never had a problem, it's always been Spot on and very reliable.

Yeah used to be a really reliable service. I had a lot of delays during the strikes in December which was understandable but there’s just no excuse for 20% of my parcels making it next day when I live in the city.

It might be at Edinburgh Airport / Mail Centre waiting to go to Glasgow, but its only a guess.

Or it's got through the system without being scanned and is out for delivery today (highly unlikely).

I'm in the same boat, Special Delivery waiting to get to me from Swindon, I'm also in Glasgow but last update was received by mailcentre at 8pm last night... hopefully comes tomorrow.

Very likely that yours would normally be routed via Sanstead

Parcel has reached Glasgow MC however should now say out for delivery by now. It’s still in transit. That part usually updates no later than 6.30 - 7.15 . Will update if received today.

What time was the arrived at Glasgow MC scan? It might be that it arrived too late to catch the final run out to the delivery office. It looks like the runway at Stanstead was closed again last night
