hello!
i should have recieved a letter from a friend last week,
the first line of the address was correct, ie '20 Church Road'
but the first letter of the second part of the post code was wrong,
ie - SE15 3QY instead of SE15 5QY
I have checked the postcode, and it is a real postcode about 2 miles down the road, but the first line is completely different, ie 120 Brick Lane
would the letter have been delivered to the nearest option, ie 120 Brick Lane, or would it have been sent back to the post office, or would it have just become a 'dead' letter.
its pretty important to me, but i'm expecting i'll never see it again.
anyone got any advice? im really hoping it will be waiting for me at my local sorting office, but im not getting my hopes up! i am based in london.
thank you!

The 1st part of the post code SE15 will get it to the SE15 office.
The 2nd part which you think may be wrong will not matter as long as there is a 20 church rd in SE15
You say the address is right apart from the 2nd bit, then you should recieve the letter no probs.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Why would it be endorsed if the only problem was 1 incorrect number on the postcodedoveston wrote:red stickered imo
