I can understand mail for the North West and Yorkshire going via Daventry but what do they mean by the South East? Does all mail from the Thames Valley Mail Centre for London go via the NDC? I would have thought it would make more sense to use the M4 - especially for mail beyond London into Kent. One of our vehicles transporting mail from our Swindon Mail Centre to our National Distribution Centre (NDC) in Daventry arrived late yesterday. As a result of this some mail posted in the OX, RG and SN postcodes yesterday for delivery today in the North West, Yorkshire and South East may be delayed.
Or is it the case that all mail for outside RG, SN and OX goes to Daventry - even if that is the opposite direction - ie mail for the West Country or the South Coast.
