cheapest way to send
I've sold a chainsaw in eBay and need to post it to the buyer. Its boxed and.not too large but has abit of weight to it. Would it be OK just to take it to the post office or would it be cheaper to arrange a courier?

The chainsaw weighs 4.9kg according to the manufacturer, I don't have scales.

Re: cheapest way to send
You can send a standard parcel up to 1.5m long and up to 20kg.AJ1987 wrote:The chainsaw weighs 4.9kg according to the manufacturer, I don't have scales.
A 6kg Standard parcel will cost you £12.30 according to the website.
The compensation is low though at £46.

Royal Mail Standard Parcels at £12.30 up to 6kg, from a nearby Post Office and delivery in three to five working days, is likely to be cheaper and more convenient than a courier.bringon4dayweeks wrote:use a courierAJ1987 wrote:I've sold a chainsaw in eBay and need to post it to the buyer.
