I've been using special delivery for about 10 years now and a letter never went missing and I had one delay. Until January of this year. When over 20 items have been late and four have gone missing. The Pay-outs on the missing items will have cost Royal Mail over £1000.
Why are so many going missing, this was supposed to be the best delivery service in the country? What is going on it the mail centres?

Re: Why are Royal Mail losing so many Special Delivery items?
I'm sure the answer of ''technology'' will be given.
As a long term RM customer that has now entirely moved away from every product other then letter and large letter ( and having seen a 70% sales fall since adjusting my pricing to accomodate their price rise last week, that will not be long for this world either) I think its culture.
The chasm between postie and management is now just too broad, and it seems its a case of ''not my job''. A contented work force if you'll pardon the pun delivers, a divided one will raise objections and excuses.
Evri are recruiting as they capture yet more volume so as natural attrition erodes Postie numbers there will always be a job to go to on piece work, no pension, no healthcare, no sick leave, no defined hours, no Union

Original poster, just wondering if your 4 missing parcels eventually turned up at destination or no?
Thank you.
Thank you.
