When was the last time a prolonged walkout was even considered anything less than a militant fantasy?

Edinburgh bin collectors just took 13 days of continuing action, got a good resolution out of it as well.

There are no plans for week long strikes.
I know you're speaking in the context of the rumours about this current dispute, but I think that's true at large. When was the last time a prolonged walkout was even considered anything less than a militant fantasy? Not in any recent decades. Most of the workforce is yet to comprehend we've skipped over the second-to-last stand. This is really it.
Dockers in Felixstowe and Liverpool aren't bothering with innefective one day strikes, nor are the barristers. In a fight that we absolutely can't afford to lose then we must be prepared to do whatever it takes to win.
