Re: Union hang your heads in shame
Anyway the point i was making is if you disagreed with the unions decision to cancel i.a you had the option to not go in without comeback honesty dont know why some people are getting their knickers in a twist about those of us who chose to not go in you would think these people were paying for our lost wages...anyway im off to park in a disabled bay despite not having a disability

Hows it reps doing managers job?
I was informed off my Divisional Rep that the strike was off and to pass it on in our office Whatsapp thing. The manager later on started ringing round and texting people to come in,are you trying to say I should have ingored my Divisonal rep and branch when my members where already asking on the whatsapp if the strike was off? if that's arse licking what do you expect me to do, tell my members f**k all just so they can then have a day off which they wouldn't have got anyway as the managers rang people up anyway.?
No wonder some reps don't give a toss when the members come out with s**t like this.
Royal Mail managers.....about as popular as a t.urd in a swimming pool!

It’s what tends to happen when actual idiots get shut down by someone with an alternative and quite often, sensible and articulate point of view. Especially the ones who seem to think they have a god like status (read: don’t get out much)thefox wrote: ↑11 Sep 2022, 13:10Do you always throw insults about when people dont agree with youclashcityrocker wrote: ↑11 Sep 2022, 12:49That we are taking unofficial industrial action sanctioned (according to you) by the CWU?smartin1982 wrote: ↑11 Sep 2022, 12:29
If we’d have all done it what message do you think that would have sent ?
RM would have been in the courts before you could say IPS.
You are either an idiot or a troll. (Or both)

No you've just made an arse of yourself.smartin1982 wrote: ↑11 Sep 2022, 13:03Must be a troll as I’ve disagreed with and pointed out fault with a couple of regular “kings of the forum”
The union negotiated with RM in good faith so that those who couldn't change genuine childcare plans at the last minute would not be punished.
It was not designed to be a green flag for a free day off for those that couldn't be arsed and would then go on to falsely pretend that it was some kind of legitimate protest.
All that your actions have achieved is that if a strike ever has to be called off at the last minute again Royal Mail will probably not be prepared to do the same again.
You saw the chance for a freebie and took it, let it lie at that because that's all it was.

So You now also know better than i do what I think. Is that what you’re saying? And everyone who stayed off for whatever reason just couldn’t be arsed?
I think someone else has said this already but…. Jesus.
There’s only one arse here, woody. I’d seek help for that bloated sense of self importance. Honestly .
You do understand there are other opinions other than yours?
You don’t have a fuc*kin clue about me, why I do or have done anything .

I am going to let this lie now though as I’m close to throwing back here due to this sparkling display of pure arrogance .
I’m actually taken aback. Enjoy your Sunday to everyone who couldn’t be arsed on Friday

Apart from the fact that the union would completely disavow that position due to the fact that it's unlawful a strike is meant to be a statement, it is the removal of labour in order to further an industrial dispute, it is a means to an end.
By not bothering to turn up for work on Friday what statement did you make and how did it further our cause?
All you did was take a day's unpaid leave.
Well done but it doesn't make you a working class hero.

All I would say is this could have been communicated better by our union it took a hands off approach just after it's first and final communication that was ambiguous at best I did go in by the way.

Did you also inform them that if its too short notice for you. Agreement in place that any employees unable to attend due to short notice will face no repercussions. I can tell you for a fact managers didn’tGeneral Mannerheim wrote: ↑11 Sep 2022, 13:33Hows it reps doing managers job?

Re: Union hang your heads in shame
Don't think it caused RM any disruption anyway. In MCs, earlies will have had little work to do so will have probably cleared any 2C and any DSA and Mailsort. Because the strike got called off quite late, many customers won't have known so won't have posted so much, so lates probably cleared. I know nights cleared and probably got a good chunk of 2C done.
What was it like in DOs?
