Hi there!
I have 4 parcels with Destination address in Russia
And all of these parcel are not moving from the first day they were added to Royal Mail tracking system.
But I am not sure why this happens. There is no any information about incidents with Russia. And yes, I know about the problems with cancelled flies, but my previous parcels at least passed into the status - In Transit. But now, I have 1 parcel in state We've got it, the second one - We're waiting for it.
I contacted Royal Mail support on twitter. And I was told that all my parcels are at Heathrow. But I didn't get any proof of their words
Or am I worrying for nothing, and tracking has been working so badly lately?
I'm worried that my packages could have just been stolen. There are 450 pounds worth of goods there.
Thank you in advance

Best guess is that it's down to a lack of capacity of planes or ships to Russia

The status of the last one is "Sender Preparing Item". In other words, the sender hasn't given it to Royal Mail yet, only raised the sales order with RM. I assume that the sender is a retailer?

Tell me please. Does RM support have the ability to track the status of a parcel in any internal systems?Snaggletooth wrote: ↑23 Aug 2022, 13:16The status of the last one is "Sender Preparing Item". It’s a long time since I worked for the Post Office, from where I could access the Royal Mail internal tracking site. This used to show slightly more information than the public site.
Regardless of what version of the system you are looking at, it is all based on the same data. The difference is in how the data is filtered and presented.
I see the retailer still hasn’t sent the last item.

Well, I am confused all 4 say the sender preparing the items, but you say that you have been told they are in customs.
The 2nd makes no sense as they would have been scanned en route from South Midlands to Heathrow (HWDC).
I don't think they have been stolen but there are 2 other possibilities.
1. They are stuck in Customs and may be delayed because of the lack of flights to the areas around Ukraine. (No flights appear on flight radar for South West Russia and South Belorussia and all of Ukraine at the time of posting) But this would mean multiple offices not scanning items as they should.
2. The sender has not sent them. Are they able to double-check their system, and perhaps they could tell you how they dispatched them? Were they collected or did they leave them at a Post Office? If they have sent them then they should contact Customer Services or their Royal Mail Business Services Manager if they are large enough to have a direct contact. If they get no joy then advise them of the escalation process https://www.royalmail.com/sites/default ... G_2019.pdf.
Both possibilities are unlikely but it has to be one of them and I am stumped.

I will ask the store exactly how they sent the parcel, 2 parcels out of 4 are in the status - In Transit
LE225732554GB
LE225732466GB
but before, there have never been situations when the store would not have transferred the order to Royal Mail.
it seems to me more that tracking parcels to Russia is more like an optional service.
I admit that there may be people who specifically do not scan parcels that are going to Russia.

Re: My parcels remain without movement from the first day.
Once any parcel leaves the UK, RM doesn't have any control/say on if it gets tracked within the destination country, unless RM has some sort of agreement with the destination country.
For stuff going to Russia, due to the sanctions, etc there's probably a greatly reduced capacity for all freight into Russia
