Warrington MC
I have a special delivery parcel that seems to be stuck in Warrington MC. It has been there since the 17th of August and has had no further scans after receipt (according to tracking). It’s now considered lost and I don’t know what to do next. About a month ago, I had another SD go through Warrington that was 2 days late but at least it was eventually delivered. Is there a known issue at that MC? Any advice? Thanks.

Re: Warrington MC
Is it Warrington Mail Centre or Warrington North Hub?
Two separate offices.
I would definitely contact Customer Serviced who will order a Investigation to be carried out.

Re: Warrington MC
It’s definitely Warrington Mail Centre. Still hasn’t moved to date. Is it RM Customer service I should call or Warrington MC’s? So far RM customer service haven’t been helpful. They said to tell the sender to claim as it’s considered lost, no offer to investigate

Re: Warrington MC
It doesn’t help when access to the locker is just walk in and agency staff working in there just saying

Re: Warrington MC
My goodness, so anyone can just walk in and help themselves?
I thought SD was relatively safe. The worst part is that no one seems to care that it’s just disappeared

Re: Warrington MC
The lockers are fully covered by CCTV and if anybody just wandered in they would be spoken to. In my MC the locker is never left unattended if the door is open for work coming in or being despatched.

Re: Warrington MC
So you’re saying when items have gone missing/misplaced it’s RM employees who were responsible and not agency staff?

Re: Warrington MC
Maybe your MC has better processes in place? The last SD was two days late (same MC) and the strikes hadn’t even started, this was back in July. And now, this one hasn’t even left the MC more than 2 weeks later. Seems like an escalating issue and I’d have thought RM would want to investigate.

Re: Warrington MC
I’m clearly ignorant, I didn’t realise that SD should only be handled by RM staff. To be fair, I’ve had loads of parcels through that MC for years without a single problem. Quite impressive actually. It’s only since July this year that I’ve noticed slow/ lack of movement. So what can I do to get this sorted?SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑01 Sep 2022, 09:36
Why the hell are agency staff being allowed to work in an SD locker? SD locker staff should exclusively be proper RM staff

This is a customer forum please do not comment on anything unless it is directly associated with a customer's questions.
In other words, don't air our dirty laundry with comments about other workers. Please just stick to the subject. (some posts deleted as they were spurious to the question)

Its still not moving so the advice given near the start of the thread is the best one to follow. Quoted below for ease.Ashcon wrote: ↑01 Sep 2022, 10:31I’m clearly ignorant, I didn’t realise that SD should only be handled by RM staff. Re: Warrington MC
I did and also called again today. Spoke to a lovely chap called Ian. He said the only thing he can do is advice me to tell the sender to put in a claim. He didn’t offer to investigate (which I agree is what’s needed). Unfortunately, a claim doesn’t help me as it is irreplaceable. At this point, I don’t think there’s anything else I can do to get resolution. Thank you all for your time and responses, it’s appreciated. I hope you get a decent raise and acceptable terms.TrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 11:28This is a customer forum please do not comment on anything unless it is directly associated with a customer's questions.

You can escalate it if you are not happy with Royal Mails response.
See https://www.royalmail.com/sites/default ... G_2019.pdf
You are at stage 1 - there are 3 other stages that may get a real investigation started.

Re: Warrington MC
How do I get to stage 2? Call the same number? I don’t see any contact details on there. Apologies for wasting everyone’s time with all these questions.TrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 11:48You can escalate it if you are not happy with Royal Mails response.

Re: Warrington MC
Yes call the same number, just when they answer you ask to speak to the escalation team, they will then either take your details or put you through. At each stage, each call handler gets more authority, so much that if it makes it to stage 4 one of the board members gets informed.Ashcon wrote: ↑02 Sep 2022, 13:51How do I get to stage 2?
