Hi, I posted a parcel today by special delivery but the staff member at the post office entered the wrong postcode on the receipt; on the receipt as HP11NW instead of HP111NW as written on the parcel. The address on the parcel is correct but incorrectly entered on the system and therefore the receipt.
My question is, will this still be delivered to the correct address or does royal mail deliver special delivery parcels by scanning the label to check the details? I have checked and there is an address with the incorrect postcode of HP11NW so am concerned that if whoever is delivering it ignores the actual address on the parcel, it will go to the wrong house at HP11NW.
Any reassurance appreciated!

It won't cause any problems at all, the sorting machines and the posties go off the address on the parcel rather than the receipt. In fact I don't think the wrong postcode on the receipt even gets into RMs system anyway.
