It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

No annual leave can be booked.
And what if this goes on and on. Surely that cannot be legal.

Surely annual leave has nothing to do with strike action? Out of interest is there an agreement in place as to the length of time an annual leave request has to be responded to by?

I think it means no new requests that cover the periods of strike action to be fair.
I.e a few days off that include the 8th and 9th sept.

I’m not sure about the phoning in sick one right enough. Whilst morally as someone who is taking industrial action I am not unhappy with that tactic, I’m not sure how well it would stand up to legal challenge if someone were to pursue it.

Just like there will be the same gang going in early for free to get ahead. The Royal Mail workforce is a rare breed of stupid.

Solidarity brothers.

Perhaps the fault lies with the union for failing to properly educate their members?
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
