What a joke response!

We don't want to work compulsory Sundays and if this week has shown us anything it's how ridiculous it is attempting to deliver stuff when everybody is out......

Starting early and getting rid of all the large packets before people have gone to work and finishing before the midday sun reminds me of what we actually signed up for.

When these people use the constant we are at a crossroads and we need to reinvent Royal Mail it shows how little they know! Postmen spent the best part of 500 years perfecting the art of delivery only for jumped up bloodsuckers to destroy a job we once all loved with brain dead ideas and yet they still think they can talk us round with a fake bonus schemes that will only be achieved by killing yourself....

I wouldn't accept 90% of what they want for any amount of money so yes strike action is damaging but that's exactly what we are willing to do🤬.

I like the unions stance on us minions saying no more to the fat cats and I think most of the public after 2 years of us delivering 48 toilet rolls, 24 cans of coke and anything from butt plugs to microwaves whilst most were on furlough and still seeing us everyday would back us for a change.

Give them until next Monday to come up with a new no strings offer. We do not need to meet or have hours of negotiations. CWU MUST TELL RM WHAT WE EXPECT. IF THEY F*** ABOUT THEN CUT OFF ALL CONTACT AND CALL A WEEK'S STRIKE IMMEDIATELY. WE HAVE TO FOCUS THEIR MINDS AND DONT ALLOW THESE W****** TO DICTATE THE AGENDA AND TIMEFRAME. WHEN THE GOING GETS TOUGH THE TOUGH GET GOING. :mad

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

We should be able to feel proud and happy to develop and accept new products, which will increase growth. The parcel pick up, medication distribution. Pay us appropriately and treat us with respect and we will follow. Enterprise that rewards all the workers who provides those new services. I Could never be successful it seems you have to be a different kind of human being. Self centred, revolting, disgusting, greedy, uncaring, someone your mother would be ashamed of and down right despicable. As you see the few who are capable of this rule the world while we sit in the position we find ourselves in. Great being in society

SO many staff leaving. Can't keep the new starters.
Who did you say made the Royal Mail great?
Well, I'm not working through the afternoon.
There are other jobs (all less physically demanding.)
How quick can you sink the ship, you clowns.

For those who are sick to the high teeth of the job as it is now, this is how the future lies for you.

Until RM becomes similar to that of other well known courier companies (and it will happen, no matter how long it takes), every working day will be pressure, politics, backstabbing, bitching, hating coming to work, later starts, Saturday & SUNDAY working, unrealistic workloads, being pulled up for the pettiest of things, PDA Actuals and Trimble watching your every move, the list goes on.

Even IF yet ANOTHER great deal is agreed, it will only be in force for a matter of months before said deal is in tatters like all previous deals and you are back to square one. Anyone who has been with the company a reasonable amount of time cannot disagree with this.

How many thought that the new CEO would be different? Yes, all started reasonably well but now that he is under pressure from the board and shareholders to deliver more and bring RM into the 21st century, it's back to the toxic atmosphere of the previous CEO. Any future CEO will just be a repeat....

Every "deal" has done in the past and will do in the future, erode parts of your terms and conditions in return for increased pay because that is exactly what the word "DEAL" is.....something for EACH side. So anyone on here who thinks that the company will just keep giving and giving without taking and taking is totally deluded.

The definition of the word "DEAL" is..."an agreement entered into by two or more parties for their mutual benefit, especially in a business or political context". Don't forget, the CWU only ever use the words DEAL and AGREEMENT.

Many on here have decided that there is more to life than being miserable at work, which does impact on life outside work, and have moved on. Everyone on here who has done so have all said that it is the best decision they made, they can't all be wrong.

So yes, you are definitely at a crossroads, you either just stick with it or move on.

Stop the negativity most people choose to stay than leave just because you left doesn't mean other people want to I actually like the job all jobs are fighting at this point in time its not just RM its the age of the corporation/hedge fund billionaires.

Agree 100%. Best decision I made was leaving. Paid fairly, treated fairly, no ridiculous pressure, no more migraines from driving/heat, no constant arguing with manager about what is actually possible. More energy outside work than I've had in a decade. f**k RM.
