Re: Update on pay
It's par for the course that Workplace wouldn't tolerate anything that didn't fit their narrative.
"A third of the world's farmland is now useless due to soil degradation, yet we still keep producing mouths to feed. And what's you answer to that? Energy saving lightbulbs?"

Lmao. Simon’s also thinking about sending the boys round to their addressjessicarabbit wrote: ↑30 Apr 2022, 07:08Someone posted a link to the Manchester bin men dispute resolution of 22% pay increase versus 1.75% offered originally in Workplace and within minutes it was taken down and the poster has mysteriously disappeared off the site. Let's make no bones about this our dispute is going to be long and possibly expensive for those that stand together and are prepared to walk. Solidarity brothers (and sisters) we can do this.

Simon 'How do you deliver a reg?' ThompsonWoody Guthrie wrote: ↑29 Apr 2022, 15:59Then it's time Terry and the rest including our favourite poster come clean about the true aims of this dispute.
Is it another mitigation exercise to minimise the damage Simon and the board want to apply or are we genuinely going to fight for a no strings pay rise?
I think we're all sick of seeing a union enabled slow decline in our terms and conditions especially on delivery, time to nut up or shut up.
No more expectation management games from either side.
I think that is true (Balloting for strike action) - Terry and the team have been very clear - if they are not happy with pay talks next week - that is what they will do - but it is a two way street -

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Defiantly a two way street, your managers are being balloted at the same time.

Re: Update on pay
Regarding the recent postage price increases and the fact of revision activity and mega sites upon which all things are planed the investment infrastructure and culling of management positions. The sad fact is someone who cost the whole nation £37 billion is in charge of Royalmail it is not for the betterment of the nation he has this job but as a disruptor of our unity. Such men as the CEO go down in history like Stalin and Hitler nothing will come good of his actions!

Re: Update on pay
Hi, Long term viewer and now upset enough to make posts.
I receive a monthly supplement of around 100 pounds not sure the exact name of it to hand.
Balloting members on this with a cash bonus of say around 200 pounds to guys who were employed after they stopped supplement would be criminal.
I'm open to a buy out - 1200 a year i earn!
give me 10k and they'll still save thousands as I've got 25 years left.

Re: Update on pay
Never sell yourself short. Asking people who don’t get the allowance if they think it should be stopped should be illegal. They can pay up the full £30k that it would cost them. What’s in it for them you may ask well it gets it off the weekly/monthly wage bill so it looks better.leolion wrote: ↑01 May 2022, 20:04Hi, Long term viewer and now upset enough to make posts.

Re: Update on pay
Yep Do the job as it is meant to be done no cutting corners no starting early no overtime. Come in work your paid for hours and go home if everyone works as we are meant to then the job won't ever get finished. It's not YOUR WALK it is Royal Mail's and if they choose to not resource it correctly that is THEIR CHOICE and not YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to catch up on the back log that will ensuetoonshola wrote: ↑29 Apr 2022, 19:44I’ll obviously be backing the union, but is there anything we can really do to stop Royal Mail imposing these changes on us. I fear even us striking wouldn’t bother them that much, they would just get agency to cover the tracked and we would all come back to double Mail which is still happening on a lot of duties now anyway. Feels helpless.

Re: Update on pay
I was ready to go on strike before the last pay deal and voted against that deal. Since then I’ve took RM to tribunal in Sep 19 and have been told to drop my case because the union have got what they want out of my action. I now have to represent myself and this union expect me to back them in a strike action? I do not think so CWU. I have not been represented by you for over 2 years now despite still being paid up so I have to say I would leave the job before going out on strike for you. You represent yourselves not the Royal Mail workers
