There's that magic lump sum again to buy off terms.

Many staff have between 5-10% of their wages made up with allowances, and they are to give that up for 3.5% in return?

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

They truly despise the workforce, don't they? What an insult.

One positive;
“The annual National Insurance Primary Threshold and Lower Profits Limit, for employees and the self-employed respectively, will increase from £9,880 to £12,570 from July 2022. This increase will benefit almost 30 million people, with a typical employee saving over £330 in the year from July."

I wonder if this affects payment of average holiday pay, scheduled for some time in May? I know that’s a completely different matter but it wouldn’t surprise me if Simon and co attempt to withhold payment if the union go ahead with a strike.
The day is gonna come when we’re all gonna have to testify.

They can’t. Holiday pay has been a legal requirement for a number of years and RM have been getting away with not paying it for years. It’s an entitlement not a perk. It’s not them giving it to you to be kind they are giving it to you because they have to.

Fully aware of that. But holiday pay is holiday pay which is owed whether it’s a minute or 100 hours, however they are refusing to pay it out unless you meet their (approved by the CWU) requirements. So, if they are depriving all those who do less than 8 hours a month, despite their legal entitlement, what else might they try....

Absolute disgrace all the conditions are a joke and Most Posties would be losing money from their pay packets immediately if the Delivery supplements were removed.

The only supplement I get are the delivery supplements and these make up nearly 6% of my wage. :evil/mad

Woody what is your post trying to achieve ? Your almost doubting that Royal Mail would make such an offer.

Let's work a little smarter Martin.
Bearing in mind they knew exactly what the reaction to this insult would be what do you think the real reason behind it was?

It certainly wasn't meant to be a serious pay offer.
