Ok so our office has started on the implementation of pegasus,
Does anyone have any information on this at all as it is now in the hands or processors of a computer and we are waiting on the outcome, but having looked at the first 2 rounds it threw out to be tested we know from previous walk tests for it to be on a rough guess about 45 minutes over, nopw I am not a slow postman but I don't run my round but even I cannot achieve the target set by pegasus and am now thinking that some of our older guys will die on the job. Its just my concern is that RM have set the bench mark of average speed at 6mph we have been informed now take into account the fact that you come to a complete stop every time you stop at a door, gate or old lady needing a hand this emans you have to go faster than 6mph to make up for it, doesnt sound alot does it. I know of someone that used a little device that records where you have been then you can check your average speed and distance travelled by going on the net the average speed bearing in mind this guy is FAST he achieved and average of 4.5mph and that includes all his cycling( he cannot turn of the device for that) and he is a cyclist in his spare time.
It was brought to our office as some of our rounds are 2 hour deliveries and some are 5 hour deliveries and after 3 years of requests they are finally doing something about it.
