Item struck at London AMU Since 12 Feb 2022 what next?

I have posted a letter with few a4 sheets and couple of my passport size pics to India on Friday and it went thru to LANGLEY HWDC on 12 Feb 2022 then to London AMU and since the no update, I have checked Indiapost tracking and they havent received yet.

What should i do ?

Not stuck at the AMU but put on the plane on the 12th.

There might be tracking after it clears customs, there might not, depends which service you used?

I've posted some international tracked items to India over the past few months. They have been delivered in about 7-10 days but had no tracking info supplied from within India/India Post at all.

After London AMU there is no tracking until it's released by Indian customs.

The only item I have sent that was tracked to delivery in India recently was one that was sent international signed (not tracked).

As such, I would check with the recipient - it has probably been delivered or will be in a few days regardless of the lack of tracking in India.

thanks for response, i have posted a few items over last 12 months usually papers only using tracked service similar to the one ihave posted 2 weeks ago now, most delivered in 5-8 days, once item left UK India post always provided full tracking

however this time around the item is still at London AMU even after almost 10 days now, Also spoke to Royal Mail they arent of much help, they said London AMU means its held at customs, and RM can intervene / chase for it only after 1 month so they can only check/follow up after 12 March really.

its disappointing as all the letter had were few A4 sheet documents + passport size photographs so not sure whats holding them up.

usually when it leaves UK and arrive in india next day and ive tracked my past items on india post with 2-3 days of me posting it in UK, not this time unfortunately :)

Yes, I used to get full tracking from India but haven't since November/December (not have a lot of other people).

Your item will have been put on a plane. London AMU is the last place it was scanned before this.

If it was being tracked in India, it would show a few days afterwards.

If I'm correct, you posted your item on the 11th which isn't very long ago. I would check with the recipient at the end of this week - chances are they will have received it by then (regardless of what the tracking shows)
