Re: Special Delivery Item gone missing ?

Hi all,
ive had an item going missing that i sent on the 7th April.
It was firstly down as an attempted delivery, no card left..
the recipient was in, and organised for the parcel to be collected at a specified post office, Mill Hill CSP in this case.
he went to collect it today and nobody had any record of it being there.
if you put the tracking information in it says signed for on saturday, by some guy called VINO ?
who is not the recipient i might add.
Even more odd is its down as pending.. Anyone got any idea what the hell is going on with this parcel.

If you spin your screen around you'll see it's actually signed DWS which is Royal Mail code for delivered without signature.

This is not unusual due to the current Covid situation.

I know this doesn't move you much further on but it will save you going down a blind alley.

It also looks like there was a request to deliver it to a collection point.

Royal Mail should be able to use the GPS tracking to find out where it was delivered.

What the hell is the point in using special delivery if they just dont bother getting a signature off the recipient ?
I cant believe this, its a licence to steal parcels !
how do i get in touch to find out the gps of where this was delivered ??

I can only take a guess but my suspicion is that it was delivered to the Mill Hill PO as requested and the PO has mislaid it.

It seems to have been delivered to the designated collection point at 09:53, Saturday 09 April 2022 and the VINOO may be someone in there.

It doesn't seem to have moved on from there which may be why it says pending.

If you contact Customer Services and ask them to confirm by GPS whether the item was scanned at Mill Hill then you'll know.
