Hi,
I dropped a parcel off at my local post office last Saturday 26th February for a collection and a return back to the sender (sender has prepaid for the return). This package had a prepaid Royal Mail Returns 24 label on it and I have a proof of receipt of the package from the post office when I dropped it off and also the tracking number.
I have been checking the Royal Mail Track and Trace site everyday for a week based on that tracking number and so far there have been no updates in the Tracking History aside from an "Accepted at Post Office" from the last Saturday when I dropped it off.
I have called Royal Mail customer services and they don't have any further information to give me on where my package is, and I have contacted the recipient and they haven't received it yet.
Is this sort of delay unexpected when it comes to using the Royal Mail Tracked Returns 24 service? At what point should I consider making a claim? Why would there be no tracking updates after a week?
Thanks.

Re: Royal Mail Tracked Returns 24 - No tracking updates for a week
You can claim after 10 working days, RM don't count Saturday as a working day for this purpose, so on or after 14th March.
Make sure you keep a copy of the receipt you got from the PO and have copies of any other receipts and paperwork
you have for the product which you purchased, they'll probably ask for such evidence as part of the claim. Not sure
whether they ask for the originals or copies and whether you can provide them electronically, you'll have to see when
you start the process.
Unfortunately nobody on this site will be able to say for definite why the tracking hasn't updated.
