Austria from UK

Post by Tosin »

Can you please help with info on delay of deliveries to Austria from UK. The international bulletin says there are no issues .

But The tracker says in transit since 30th jan 2022 on an internationally tracked and signed package. The package is my degree certificate sent by my university in the UK.

Tracking ID is RV768370555GB

Looking at the tracking it left the UK on the 30th of January so looks like the issue is at the Austrian end.

It's probably stuck in customs.

Austria hasn't updated its page since it did have delays. Whether that means there are delays or not is open to interpretation. However, there are delays into the EU as outlined in the Bulletin, not just Austria. Hopefully, all the relevant paperwork is okay, as they do seem to be rejecting more stuff to the EU since the rule change.

Please do not spam the board. It causes a lot of background admin.

Threads with answers merged with this one and moved them into the correct forum. The 4 others have been deleted.

No worries is just that we find if there are too many threads on the same issue it can get confusing and sometimes bad advice is given.

As I have said I strongly suspect your items has been delayed either in Customs because of the strict rules newly introduced, not because of the delays in Austria. Hopefully, it will turn up soon.

If not you can always contact Royal mail on Twitter @royalmailhelp < they are an official site, unlike ourselves.

However, I have just rechecked the tracking and it looks like they sent it to Australia in error https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/RV768370555GB
This WILL delay it, and it also means tracking may stall. But in these circumstances, AusPost will normally forward it to the correct country.
