Filling Up Postboxes

Post by McGeezak »

Hi there,

First time commenter here, though I like to check the forum occasionally for advice.

Long story short, I'm a customer with an online business who currently hasn't yet been approved for an OBA account and so deposits around 30-40 large letters into a red postbox each day 30 minutes before the scheduled collection. Sometimes these deposits can almost fill a whole letterbox (if it's full I move to the next box. I don't fill it to the brim).

Would any posties have an opinion on this? Is this annoying for you? Do the letters spill out when you open it? Is it generally seen as a good thing that a post box is being used? Is it weird to come across a postbox packed with identical letters?

I feel like I'm on the borderline of abusing the postbox collection system, so any thoughts would be great.

Many thanks!

There is a cage inside so they won’t fall out. If there’s is a post office nearby they would take them off you. But it depends when you post if they would be open or not

The post boxes are there for the public to use.
Use it.
Don't stress. We'll cope.
