so if its a yes, i,m wondering about those people who use public transport to get to work. there's no bus service New Years Day is there?
Going on past practice, chances are it will like a Sunday service timetable, later start so I don't think anyone will be able to get in on time.

Is anyone going to be awake after getting drunk on New Years Eve ?, I see problems with this, lots of problems, some places will be closed others open or restricted hours, it's going to be a major cluster F**k, simpliest thing to do is treat it as a non service day.

If it was a service day would that mean those that work nights would have to work New Year’s Eve night? Would anyone actually do that?

also i think it will be the biggest ever phone in for sick absence ever for RM :Very Happy
It could be the straw that breaks the camel's back. People are tired and pissed off - dragging us in on the 1st is asking for hair-trigger walkouts.
The machine stops.

I'll offer to work it for Christmas Eve and the 29th off. NY means nothing to me.

Sounds like a deal to me :nana

No Different to Good Friday or Boxing Day and they are official Bank Holidays unlike New Years Eve and I have worked both of those in the past

Normally it's run on volunteers. If they don't get enough volunteers then it's everyone in

Asking for volunteers to work covid kits/pkts on every b/h and non service day over Christmas and new yr , EXCEPT new yrs day. Is this a sign?

I realise that the Network will be moving stuff about the day before the foot soldiers at the coal face will encounter it but you will all be pleased to learn that NDC VOC alone has over 100 driving duties to cover on both 1st and 3rd Jan.

Yes it's a sign they expect it to be a non service day like Xmas day so no deliveries or collections hopefully!
