Item RN531921175GB in LANGLEY HWDC for more than 20 days
I have sent a parcel to Italy posted the 18th of November and it arrived at LANGLEY Heathrow on the 20th at 7am. However I haven't had any updates since then and it just says they have recieved my parcel and it is being prepared for dispatch overseas. Anyone know how long it might take before it gets moving again? Is there any chance that I can go there and collected back? I am getting worried. The reference number is RN531921175GB.

Poste Italiane has advised that they are currently experiencing IT issues that are preventing tracking events and causing customs delays. As a result, delays should be expected for the processing and delivery of all mail types until further notice.
Items posted to Italy are also experiencing customs delays as a result of changes to the EU’s VAT rules for items from non-EU destinations from 1st July. If you are an international business contract customer and you have signed up for the EU's Import One Stop Shop (IOSS) or if you are sending items via an IOSS registered marketplace, you need to enter your IOSS registration number to each item in the pre-advice to reduce delays. Last Posting Dates
We have adjusted the latest recommended posting dates for Christmas to assist customers in getting items to customers in Italy in time for Christmas. Those dates can be found here on our website.

thanks for the replay, but unfortunatly it is not in Italy. Has anyone been able to drive to LANGLEY and collect a parcel back? I really needed the parcel.

the forecast on this site says its going to arrive between 17 and 28 dec - I think that confirms the news that the Italian Postal is suffering delays as per the notice by Royal Mail

Even if it was at Langley, if you turned up and demanded the parcel it would be both impractical and illegal for them to hand it to you.
