Sunday Rerouting Query

Post by Postfan1995 »

Hi all! Thanks in advance for looking at this. Sent an urgent 1pm Special item on Friday (SE104027783GB) to be delivered Saturday. It's supposed to be routed to Croydon MC, but it seems to have arrived at Gatwick MC instead, which is infuriating as it's 10 miles down the road. Is there any chance it could still be rerouted overnight to Croydon and make it to Catford (SE6, London) for Monday morning?

I did, yes. I doubt it makes much difference now :(. Im wondering really if anything would be despatched to a mail centre on a Sunday night.

I believe that normally the Sunday dispatches are done during the day but this time of year there's probably a good chance that there'll also be dispatches in the late evening as well

And would the mail centre on the other end receive said dispatch and send it out to the DO same night? I’m not optimistic but trying to find reasons to be.

it's out for delivery today https://www.royalmail.com/track-your-it ... 04027783GB from Catford DO

Don't forget to make a claim as the service wasn't fulfilled - although if it was a business and they are closed on Saturdays it may be exempt from compensation.
