Having exchanged emails, it appears the parcel made it through customs over 5 days ago. For some reason, tracking shows - CUSTOMS CLEARANCE
This same message i have been reading for a month.

ParcelForce US - UK 8th Oct - 4th November, and still no sign of them putting it on a van?

DHL US - UK item was sent from the US on Monday, it is now Thursday, and will be with me today by 2pm. US - UK 4 days! that's impressive!

ParcelForce should maybe adopt DHL's system, as it appears to be super efficient.
Swings and roundabouts though all have off days they all have great days, UPS FedEx etc. usually great 3 to 4 business days then next time over 2 weeks as lost, delayed etc., another time parcelforce lightning quick same service another time slow, it's the nature of the beast alas when importing / exporting so much can happen that can delay an item from covid, staff shortages, breakdown sortation of systems etc.

If its been cleared hopefully arrives for you by end of next week.

Seems i received incorrect info. via email from the Sender at Parcelforce who stated the parcel had been cleared, when in fact it had not been cleared.

There are 3 ways of contacting Parcelforce - Twitter, Email, Phone
Having tried all 3 methods, and explaining the same problem, resulted in 3 different suggestions. It fails to make sense.

For the moment, the plan is to wait and wait. If 6 weeks passes, then i will look into making a claim.

I find it very difficult to get my head around Parcelforce tracking information, in the past I have had parcels show as "at the local delivery depot", that I have then found are still stuck in Customs.

You could try emailing the Parcelforce Customs Clearing Bureau at PFW-CCB@parcelforce.co.uk; but the usual response is that it's with Customs, or it's been sent to Recovery.

I had a similar problem with an item sent via Deutsche Post that went into the Parcelforce system. Deutsche Post were very helpful, and immediately pursued a claim. I had a letter from Parcelforce about 4 weeks later asking me to confirm I hadn't receieved the parcel; my conclusion was that Parcelforce don't have a clue what's going in within their own sorting system.

I'm not sure if there are any overseas postal options that can be selected that would lead it into the RM system, it might not be faster but you do usually get helpful information from Royal Mail and it does eventually arrive.
