I can just see the reaction as you wave the camera in their direction (and the husbands reaction in the other room as he realises you have just taken a picture of his wife with very little on)

Good point. At least with the current way of working, you can take a picture on your own phone and input the number later, saving the 'customer' from having to wait at the door. How can we do that with photo capture, unless we can transfer from our phones to PDAs? (Bluetooth transfer?)

Or will we keep the 'customer' standing at the door on a wild winter's day when it's howling a gale and there's driving rain coming in:

"Just close the door Mrs Smith. I'll knock again when the PDA's rebooted!"

In fact, the Pda is more than capable of this already, what are we waiting for? They're much lighter now, and along with its already functional gps, glonass, step counting, motion detecting, sound recording and front and rear cameras.. this is the perfect solution!

We wouldn't need to scan anything, the customer could just login to our live stream

Quite a few times I've got to a house just as the customer is leaving. Am I supposed to tell them to get out of the car, open their front door and then wait while I take a snap?

I can see those customers with long driveways been absolutely delighted by this. Or those with very young kids in the car. Or those who need to be on their way urgently.

Royal Mail as determined as ever to alienate the majority of recipients who are perfectly honest and may well have a good relationship with their postie.

You can buy one of these body worn cameras via Amazon, not sure about the privacy implications though.
