This is more than just silence or negligence now. It’s gone on way too long. Something far more sinister is at work.
Perhaps terry ran out of custard creams.
Him and Dave Ward are now on the home straight and the finish line is in sight, retirement on a big fat pension all payed for by us mugs. They need replaced immediately for some younger guys who might actually give a damn.
Oh and anybody replacing them should not be on what Terry and Dave currently get. 100k+ a year is absolutely obscene and the pair of them should be ashamed.

Well I've just been on the CWU website and followed their instructions.....

Cancellations need to be received in writing either by email to membership@cwu.org or by letter to CWU Membership Department, 150 The Broadway, London SW19 1RX. Please include your full name and membership number.

Saves me a few quid, better than throwing it away.

Yeah, their moral compass is definitely wayward. 100k a year? Never even knew that until now. Wow boys. That is one monumental shafting of your paying membership. Disgraceful

Surely there must be some kind of union response this week to this!?
Union? There's still a union? There used to be one, but they vanished in a puff of smoke. :nervous :left:
Too busy collaborating with RM to keep their seat at the table...too may times the union bosses have let its members down over the years-either it is sheer incompetence or they are in bed with RM...you decide.

What a strange coincidence that the small minority of offices that don't clear daily also post on here! I mean there are 750 that clear daily and not 1 member on here...crazy!

Perhaps I'm sounding cynical, but I have a feeling that the Royal Mail Group is currying a favor from the Tory government to push back against the CWU with the threat of legislation for the sake of corporate greed.

Certainly Royal Mail shareholders would like to see a weaker union power.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding you correctly. Are you being ironic?

He is either accusing us of not working hard enough within our contracted hours or he is suggesting we stay out over our contracted hours when tired and exhausted either for free or for the absolutely terrible overtime rate that makes it not worth it. I dont know which is worse.

Simon if you are reading - doing an extra hour or two delivery while you have already been out delivering for 4 and half plus hours is not something that most people want to do unless they are HEAVILY incentivised to.

It is much tougher to do an hour of delivery after youve been out for hours already compared to the first hour out on delivery when you are fresh, yet we arent paid any more hourly rate to do the hour or two extra as overtime? Would YOU do that?

An hour trudging along knackered to make it a 5 and a half hour plus delivery for £8 after tax or something?

If you want people to stay out past their contracted hours doing delivery as overtime, make it double time.

If you are not prepared to pay us what its worth then dont complain when theres not a queue out the door to do it.
If you tolerate this, then your paid break will be next
