Returned Parcel Advice

Post by OWConnoi »

Hey,

I returned an Amazon package using the QR code at a delivery office on the 18th of August.

After 2 weeks I get an email from amazon telling me the package is empty, with no luck at all from a human response. I packaged the item inside the box inside the DO itself so it will be on cameras etc. Is there anyway I can request this footage to supply to amazon?

I'm devastated as the item is £1000+. I have also tried emailing the jeff and managing director email with no response.

Has this ever happened to anyone or anyone know how I can go about doing this? I can't claim with Royal Mail because it was a tracked48 label supplied by amazon which I believe only covers £100?

Thanks again

2 possible things have happened here:

1. It's been knicked - in that case, I would involve the police. They may get access to our CCTVs if a crime has been reported, and most of our working areas and systems are under CCTV view at most times.

2. The packaging has been damaged and the contents have come out. In this case, I'd contact Customer services with as many details about the contents, the service used, and the addresses involved, if you do this there is a chance they can be recovered.

Whether it's 1 or 2 in this case I would still contact customer services and start the process for claiming for a loss anyway.

Thanks for the replies.

Filed an online claim yesterday, however, Amazon supplied a tracked48 which is only covered up to a £100, whereas my item is £1000+ Unless Amazon themselves claim (according to lady I spoke on the phone to). She told me the claim won’t go through as Amazon needs to do it.

I called Amazon and they said that they need proof that Royal Mail said that and sadly the Royal Mail lady said she couldn’t email me to confirm what she said. So I’m stuck in between two giants telling me to go to the other.

I have emailed Amazon the claim reference number and all but they ignored my last email so let’s hope they do reply to this one.

My last resort is opening a chargeback with my bank but that will cause my Amazon account to be locked.
