Re: No update
The sender can claim postage back because the service has not been met. Also dependant on the level of cover sometimes yo can claim for incidental loss and expense so that may be worth looking into.
The customer services staff should have already informed the managers of the unit its going to (local delivery office) and where the last scan was performed, and they should be investigating it.
However, if customer services don't provide the answers to your satisfaction you can request your claim/query bne passed to the, Escalated Customer Resolution Team, and after that the Postal Review Panel. Its not something they advertise but sometimes just mentioning them gets results.
Word of warning if you go this route you can't jump the stages in this leaflet https://www.royalmail.com/sites/default ... G_2019.pdf or they can refuse to pursue it, you have to go through each stage in turn.

Re: No update
Tried everything but no help. I really dont know what to do or just wait as apparently there is nothing royal mail can do in this case.TrueBlueTerrier wrote: ↑13 Aug 2021, 11:21try twitter @royalmailhelpRael, the IAK wrote: ↑13 Aug 2021, 11:15Something's gone wrong then. As you're probably aware, as of Wednesday it has been in the NI mail centre with no tracking scan since then. You need to get customer services on the phone (or online chat if they do such a thing) and get them to investigate it for you.

The latest update is of Today at 16:00 as- "We've got it We have your item at Northern Ireland MC."
Before that the update was "Restricted or Prohibited Contents
This parcel was recently identified as containing items suspected of being prohibited or dangerous. Having examined the parcel more closely, we have determined that items contained within it do breach transport regulations and/or Royal Mail terms and conditions. We have therefore disposed of those item(s) accordingly"
I am not sure what is going on with this and there was few Air-wick sprays as much as I can think of as a restricted item. Am I going to receive this parcel or not?
Thanks

Re: No update
It's probably come up because mail is likely flown from Northern Ireland to the mainland UK.
Not sure if it either gets returned to the sender or destroyed

Re: No update
Do they destroy the whole parcel as it contains other items as well? and I talked to customer service they said will destroy that item and deliver rest of it. But not sure of anything at this point.SpacePhoenix wrote: ↑16 Aug 2021, 19:48It's probably come up because mail is likely flown from Northern Ireland to the mainland UK.

Re: No update
You would have to check with RM, but reading what you have posted they have binned them.
Just to confirm Aerosols are on the Prohibited/Restricted list and you can only send them in the UK under certain very strict conditions (For Air Safety reasons mainly) - they are banned in International Mail.

Re: No update
As I tracked the item in my app, I got an update this morning, so was going to advise you of the situation, but you've seen it already. Looks like all, or the bulk of the parcel, is coming back to you, as it shows as out for delivery today from Newtownabbey DO.

Newtownabbey(Belfast) is the Sender's address and is suppose to be delivered in London. I don't understand why they send it back to sender after disposing the restricted/prohibited items.
There is more confusion to this ,I received a message at 9:40 am today that its again being re-routed. I don't know what exactly is going on, are they going to send it back to sender or re-route back to receiver's address or re-route to National Return Centre ?
There is no clear update.
Thanks

but still there is nothing clear about delivery they are sending me different updates and not sure what is going on with this parcel.
Hope to resolve this soon.
Thanks

Re: No update
My reading of it is that's it's going back to you/the sender. So maybe it's complete and nothing has been disposed of and that is just the most sensible option available.
