What can you get for proof of postage when Royal Mail pickup via booking collection from home?

Can you get proof of postage from booking a collection from home?

Planning to send something worth £500 special delivery and arrange a pickup.
Last pickup was all good and delivered ( tracked 48 )
But they did not give me proof of postage receipt like the post office does.

So I’m wondering are they actually able to or they forgot? Or maybe I have to ask?

The thing is, I’m using an app to sell something where you require to upload proof of postage

According to the Royal Mail website you have to drop off specials to get the proof of posting.

The thing is, I’m using an app to sell something where you require to upload proof of postage

For non Special Delivery items as far as I recollect the collection scan when the postie
picked the item up from you is the proof of posting, so you should keep the text or email than you
received soon after the postie scanned the item. You'd have to dig deep into the T&C's somewhere.

Not sure about Special Deliveries proof of posting if the collection scan is also counted.
I've picked up several SD's from customers but no-one has mentioned the proof of posting
for them yet.
