Priority Post Box - Sunday collection in village, not from DO ?

Post by Daytona »

As I may miss Saturday's collection for a PCR test kit, I searched the RM website for Sunday collections and see that the local Devizes delivery office doesn't but a string of outlying villages and hamlets do. So to save me a trip to check the the schedule on the box, does this seem reasonable ?

Searching on the Devizes DO postcode SN10 1ZZ -
https://www.royalmail.com/services-near ... =postboxes

It looks like they may be on one route from/to the local Swindon sorting office ?

The Helpline is closed at weekends so I can't double check.

TIA

I am not sure what you are asking but boxes can be emptied at any time, but they MUST be emptied must be at/or after the last collection time on the box. The times on the website will match the last collection time on the actual boxes.

Devizes might be closed on Sundays with the collections being done by another delivery office which might be covering a larger area than they normally would

There are no Sunday collections anymore.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Don't know if this is strictly correct (we are talking specifically about Priority postboxes for Covid tests aren't we?),
checking the search the OP raised, SN9 Milton Cross Roads Pewsey is due a collection at 1600
as is SN9 Co Op Pewsey. Others in the area are marked as 'No more collections today' implying there have been collections.
