Item Leaving the UK LONDON AMU - no update since 17 March?

Post by SE459 »

Hi, anyone any insight into international tracked and signed items for Singapore? This item was posted on 14 March, went though Langley and arrived London AMU on 17 March - 10 says now - no further update. It isn't showing as arriving in destination country - Singapore - and no record of it in the SingPost system. I know there have been delays to post in China this week, could this parcel be caught up I wonder...? Any insights appreciated!

What's the tracking number and what's the contents? Sometimes the contents can cause problems, a common one being lithium batteries

Looking at the country guide on Royal Mail's website, not sure if the books might be a problem:

I don't know what the routing used is so I've no idea if it could be being held up by the "minor mishap" with a container ship in the Suez Canal. My gut feeling however is that it would be routed by air, though there's probably a lot less planes flying to Singapore

Hmm ok, thanks for that, really helpful. Hope that's not the case :(
So if it is held up or even refused through customs, what happens?

Update: parcel is now in destination country Singapore, yay! 15 days after posting, but nevermind.... Not sure why the holdup, will ask recipient if it looks like a customs issue
