1. The first text message tells you there is a package which needs to be rescheduled.

It asks you to click on a 'bit.ly' link which then takes you to a site which asks for payments.

Royal Mail warns customers not to click on any links or enter personal details.

2. The second message claims an item is waiting to be collected by you - and may well mention you by name.

Royal Mail says it also references a Christmas list.

The postal giant has asked people not to click on the scam links.

3. This text appears to be Royal Mail getting in touch with you to say a parcel is waiting for delivery.

It asks you to confirm a settlement of £2.99 (£) via a link.

Again, it is a scam and you should not click the link.

4. Another scam text, this time it advises you a parcel is ready for to be collected.

This link takes you to the fake web site (royal-mail.cloud).

You will again be asked to make an unnecessary payment.

5. This scam text appears to be sent from Royal Mail UK and says your courier wasn't able to deliver the item.

There's a notification number, and it also asks you to confirm the parcel is yours via a link.

Royal Mail has warned customers it is not them contacting them, and to not click the link.

6. Another text message has been listed as a scam, and it may be sent from deliverycentral.madebypi.com, but this may change.

The link in the first screen will take you to a message suggesting a package was found in transit and there is an outstanding delivery fee to make.

Do not click the links.

7. The final text message on the list warns you need to pay a £2.99 shipping fee to collect a package.

It also warns "actions will be taken if you do not pay this fee".

Clicking on the link takes you to a fake site, Royal Mail advises.

Scam emails
1. The first scam email on the list tries to get you to pay custom charges on a package that has been undelivered.

The subject is: 'Your package could not be delivered on 07/12/2020' - but be warned the date will change.

The sender is Royal Mail Group Ltd, and various email addresses may be used including press.office@royalmail.com

Royal Mail is warning customers to not click on links or enter details.

2. This scam says you have missed a package from HMRC Revenue & Customers, tricking some into thinking they may have missed a tax rebate.

The email subject is: 'We attempted to deliver your package at 09:35'.

The sender will be RoyalMail Delivery, although various email addresses are used with this email.

The email subject is 'Royal Mail:Notice on your Delivery' and he subject, sender, date and link may change.

The email links to SurveyGizmo site, and asks for your email and password.

6. This time the email will tell you there is a package for you, but you need to make a payment before it can be delivered.

The email subject is : 'Delayed Package Delivery!' and various senders are used.


The payment amount due and currency may change also.
