Correct address but non existent post code?
I’ve posted a small parcel 2nd class signed for delivery (tracking number provided) however I got the post code slightly wrong and it does not exist in the town area. Will the parcel be redirected for manual sorting and delivery

Re: Correct address but non existent post code?
I’ve put WF5 instead of WF3
apparently when I checked the full post code doesn’t exist and I don’t think there are any WF5 in Wakefield

Sorry there is a WF5 in Wakefield.. it’s the Ossett area
but rear of the code is for the WF3 area.

Re: Correct address but non existent post code?
It depends if you put the district in the address (eg Ardsley) then it should be manually sorted to the correct office after a short delay.
If you didn't then it would depend on local knowledge at the Ossett Delivery Office (they are 2 different offices 4.5 miles apart), so the chances would be lower of the recipient getting it.
The worst case is it will be returned to you.

Re: Correct address but non existent post code?
Yes I put the full address on and I believe Stanley would be the district
so hopefully as you say it will be picked up with them being local to each other and delivered. I did put my undelivered address and post code on the package.
Thanks
