Had the Pfizer jab yesterday. No side effects at all. Just got to wait to be contacted in 12 weeks for the follow up appointment.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

When you are given the link (or when it's your time) to book you will book at your convenience for a convenient time.
At the same time you will pre book the 2nd jab.
That is how the NHS booking system works.

Nothing to do with the business or managers.

Got the Oxford AZ jab last week at my local health centre. Well organized, everyone was great.

Warm feeling in the arm at the injection site straight after the jab. Felt very very tired the next day, but no pain or headaches or any other symptoms. Right as rain the day after that.

had pfizer jab, 10.20am appointment. waited in a queue for about 15 mins, had the injection, had to sit for 15 mins, then went back to graft. after work my arm was aching. i went to get some paracetamol out cupboard and could hardly lift it up. later in bed i had bad flu like symptoms, chills. sweats, shivering, pounding headache, aches and pains. phoned in sick, was off for 3 days. others have had same jab with no ill effects whatsoever. luck of the draw i think.
Does the absence get recorded as a Covid absence (and therefore not part of the attendance procedure) or is it a different absence that could lead to a stage warning?

you know what clash, it never crossed me mind to ask. he put down reason for absence on the RTW interview form as ''reaction to pfizer covid jab'' he also said ''i didn't think you would be in the next day, i know loads of people who have had it and were wiped out for a couple of days''. but i will ask him tomorrow and update on here. :thumbup

If employees are unwell following a vaccination , the absence should be recorded based on the symptoms i.e. temperature, sore arm.
In terms of attendance process, in the short term the absence would be discounted as it relates to coronavirus.

If the absence is prolonged, it may be considered in terms of counting it towards the attendance process, depending on the absence, as generally side effects are not expected to last more than a week.

If you are aged 56+ you dont need to wait for a letter from the NHS you can go online and book it yourself.

Had the Astra Zeneca Jab on Saturday after work.
Side effects
Saturday - Headache
Sunday - Headache ,Body aching ,shivers ,feeling cold and generally washed out
Monday - Improvement ,body still aching a bit ,headache gone , went to work took it steady.
Tuesday- improvement ,slight body ache but arm is more tender to touch.

My advice is ,get the jab ,COVID is a seriously a lot worse, I know because Me and my family tested Positive beginning of last May.
We have survived COVID but it has long lasting health problems.
My wife is still off work!

Please do not turn down the vaccine.
