Re: Have you had a COVID-19 vaccine shot
Had vaccine because of age.
Had the Oxford Astra Zeneca.
Very straight forward, well organised by the local GP's.
On site no more than 10 minutes (I had the wife with me otherwise they make you wait 15 minutes in case of reaction)
No reaction whatsoever.

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 vaccine shot
I had Pfizer vaccine 3 weeks ago. Very well organised at vaccine hub. Got jab within 10 minutes of arriving. I have (or had) a severe injection phobia but it was completely painless. No after effects except injection site was ached slightly if I pressed on it, for about 48 hours.
I'm actually looking forward to second jab, and now I know that vaccinations are not as bad as I remember from childhood I will get the flu jab next year.

Me and my wife had the jab on Thursday. My wife has had no reaction to it. Me sore arm for 24 hours and very tired the day after, but otherwise fine today. Booked for both of us through the NHS website because the GP one was cancelled due to lack of supply. No issues and can't wait for the second one.

had pfizer jab, 10.20am appointment. waited in a queue for about 15 mins, had the injection, had to sit for 15 mins, then went back to graft. after work my arm was aching. i went to get some paracetamol out cupboard and could hardly lift it up. later in bed i had bad flu like symptoms, chills. sweats, shivering, pounding headache, aches and pains. phoned in sick, was off for 3 days. others have had same jab with no ill effects whatsoever. luck of the draw i think.

Had astrazeneca, point of injection hurt for about a week and was painfull to use the arm in little bits but I think that is more to do with where she did it rather than a side effect...possibly.
Slight neck pain for a couple of days weirdly.
That's it, F U Covid.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Astra Zeneca.
So far so good.

Yep had mine injection area hurt like hell for about 36 hours could not sleep well maybe it was because it was the Pfizer it kept me up all night!
But I know people who had both types and had no symptoms it could be that my body reacted as it recognized it but a sore arm for 36 hours is a small price to pay so this lockdown can end.

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 vaccine shot
Had the Astra zeneca one as allergic to penicillin and a few other drugs.Had it last Saturday.
Didn't even feel the injection at all, had a sore arm that night though, was sore the next day, also had a raging headache which with my medical condition was a f***ing nightmare and felt aching in my legs and off my food, next day (Monday) still had headache, took a couple of paracetamol and by dinner time was fine.

Re: Have you had a COVID-19 vaccine shot
I had mine three weeks ago sunday. The waiting line was out the door and being someone highly vulnerable and shielding I felt quite uncomfortable.Fortunately the line was more like a conveyor belt and we moved pretty quickly. No time to sit though, given the jab (Astra Zeneca) then ushered out the door.
Jab itself was not painful but arm felt like a punching bag the following day along with a raging headache (though I do suffer from high b/p).
Whether it's related or not my eyes have been dry and extremely painful ever since.
