post delivered to wrong address

Post by jon b »

We sent a parcel to a customer in Manchester , tracking details show as delivered but scribbled signature and name of recipient are incorrect .I have tried the online claim form but to no avail , it doesnt cover this topic only lost or damaged or late ?? . i am led to believe the tracking details can be used by the post office to see at which house the item was scanned, how should i proceed the online claim form would appear to be a dead end .
regards Jon

Royal Mail have been signing for parcels for 10-11 months due to Covid. Has the customer confirmed that they haven’t received it? If so, I would proceed as for a lost parcel, but make sure you state that the customer has stated that it hasn’t been received.

Yep, this will help and Royal Mail will do an audit check which is where they can check the GPS location on delivery.
