Anyone have experience with sending parcels to UAE or Germany ?

I have sent 2 items , 1 to Germany and one to United Arab Emirates. I’ve sent things globally but never sent to these 2 countries before. The German parcel on the tracking it just says it’s left the Uk but that was 15 days ago and still no updates. On the tracking it takes me to the Herman site but no updates so guessing it hasn’t arrived or been scanned in. The UAE one, well the customer asked me to post it to a uk site called “Aramex” which apparently is a way for people in the UAE to receive mail but looking at the reviews it’s a little unsafe to send items there so I asked for her address to send it directly through Royal Mail. I sent it and so far that’s been around 16 days with no update. When I click on the tracking for the UAE parcel it takes me to the site but it’s just a blank page and won’t load and when I try to manually access the site it’s all in Arabic and I can’t understand it. Does anyone know how long these items should take to arrive? I am surprised at the German parcel as even during the pandemic, postage to Europe has been swift, unless Brexit is having an effect?

Did you put a customs declaration on both parcels, even the German one?

And did you send the UAE one to a street address or PO Box?

The equivalent of Royal Mail in the UAE only deliver to PO Boxes.

Hello, both parcels have customs declarations on/ return address on the back and the UAE IS a PO Box address !

The address is a PO Box address and checked with customer to make sure it’s correct which she says it is

Brexit is having a huge effect on parcels too everywhere, but most especially into Europe.

Service Update
Items are leaving the UK on time but we are experiencing significant delays to a number of EU countries as a result of both new customs processes and ongoing Covid-19 measures. Our service to other destinations is operating normally. We are working with our airline and postal/courier partners to maintain services across the globe, however, delays should be expected as a result of Covid-19 measures. The number of countries we can access is changing daily.

However without a tracking number to check the context of the different track points its difficult to say with any certainty, however, most Customs areas are having huge delays, especially if a batch is selected for further investigation (this is done randomly).
