Hello!
Been reluctant to make an account and ask questions but quite a bit of time has gone past since I made this eBay order so here goes.
I ordered a diecast model from Hong Kong on the 7th December from a eBay store I have used many times. Usual time for them to arrive is around 10 day to two weeks maximum. (Full tracked and signed).
The tracking has now not updated since it was Leaving Overseas on the 30th December. It has been 63 days since the item was first scanned in Hong Kong.
I have ordered items from China since which have arrived in days.
Should I consider this a total loss or are the delays to parcels entering the UK really this severe right now?
I did call the Royal Mail customer services who suggested this was probably a lost in transit case but the eBay seller suggests parcels posted in October did eventually make it to customers by the end of December.
Thanks in advanced for any insight into this.

I would check when you need to open a claim with eBay, and get the claim in quick if necessary.

Re: Question regarding item from Hong Kong
Back in October, there were delays but none from that late in December. I would do as SNaggletooth suggests.
